Nicole SmithBachelor of Laws/Bachelor of Social Science Memberships
Nicole was admitted as a lawyer in 2007 after completing a joint Bachelors degree in Law (Community Law) and Social Science (Criminology & Psychology) at the University of Western Sydney. Whilst studying for her Bachelors degree, Nicole worked for the South West Sydney Legal Centre in a role that exposed her to a variety of legal matters and clients. During this time she developed an interest in the field of family law and after her admission as a solicitor she joined one of the largest specialist family law firms in the Nepean region. Nicole has significant experience in a range of family law issues and is able to assist clients with parenting issues, divorce, child support, property and financial settlements, and de-facto relationships. She has also developed expertise in the field of Superannuation and Property Adjustment in family law matters and has written articles for publication by legal publishers CCH on these particular issues. Since joining Karen L Haga & Associates in early 2010, Nicole has been able to apply her problem-solving skills and attention to detail, as well as her pragmatic and down-to-earth approach, to helping our clients with their family law issues. She has quickly become a valuable member of the team and an asset to our clients. Nicole is currently undertaking her Master of Applied Law (Family Law) with the NSW College of Law. |
